ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Learning & Development Manager to lead, guide and promote our training, development and educational programs in order to develop the personal and professional growth of our staff and the wider organisation. The position is responsible for all aspects of education, training and capability development equipping our staff with the skills knowledge and attributes required to provide respectful, compassionate and holistic care to our patients. The position partners with internal and external stakeholders to ensure education initiatives align with wider strategic priorities and upholds our guiding mission of being for others.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide subject matter expertise and influence with identifying and facilitating the development of specific training / education needs, in conjunction with relevant parties, including Hospital Management Committee, Division / Department Managers
- Coordination and evaluation of Whole of Hospital internal and external education programs to ensure hospital requirements are met.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the Nurse Education Team including development of strategic plans and initiatives.
- Leadership with nursing workforce activities including GradStart, School Based Trainees and ClinConnect.
- Reporting of mandatory training statistics to Human Resources Manager, Hospital Management Committee and Calvary National Learning and Development Team.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA and post registration nursing and/or education qualification relevant to clinical area.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of education programs and learning solutions for a facility.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current clinical practice in an acute care facility with a commitment to ongoing self-development
- Sound understanding of educational quality standards with demonstrated analytical and critical thinking ability
- Demonstrated competence in the use of complex software programs and learning management systems
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through highly developed interpersonal and coaching skills.
