As a Corporate Communications Manager for Oceania, you will be empowered to create and execute our local market communications strategy. You will oversee all internal and external communications, play a key role in building, protecting and enhancing Takeda’s corporate reputation and drive both long and short term activities that align to our business objectives.
A typical day will include:
- Developing and implementing the communications strategy, aligned with global / regional plans and objectives, as well as that of the local market.
- Defining and driving integrated communication programs, relevant to internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with agencies to ensure that Takeda’s core messages, brand essence and value propositions are promoted both internally and externally to relevant audiences.
- Delivering high-quality executive speaker engagements and working with our senior leaders as spokespeople for the organisation. This collaboration will include executive visits, business-relevant industry communications, media profiling and strategy, social media strategy and media training.
- Having responsibility for the governance of Oceania’s social media policy.
- Working with commercial teams to ensure product marketing plans are aligned with the company’s communication strategy and supporting in the coordination of corporate-recognised portfolio awareness days.
- Collaborating with our HR and Compliance teams to develop, manage and implement our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
- Pioneering the use of data, digital and technology-based approaches to elevate our strategies, drive engagement and communicate proactively.
**Education & Experience**
- Experience in corporate communications and communications management, specifically in the pharmaceutical or healthcare space, or other relevant industry.
- Experience working in-house, alongside exposure to PR / comms agencies.
- Experience in creating communication plans, change communications, strategic and long-term planning.
- Ideally, experience managing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and programs.
**Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies**
- Good knowledge of all aspects of communications, including executive positioning, internal communication, media relations, product communication, change communication, investor relations, crisis communication and project management.
- The ability to work in a matrixed environment, and orchestrate across the organisation, regardless of direct reporting lines.
- The ability to rationalise message volume, and nuanced messages, for multiple audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, in both small and large group settings.
- Confident and strategic relationships with media and PR agencies.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the agility to respond to new and changing requirements based on both market and company environments.
- The desire to put patients first and demonstrate our values of Takeda-ism.
