Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assemble and fit components of locks, security devices, and precision instruments, ensuring

proper alignment and functionality.
- Disassemble, diagnose, and repair locks, timepieces, and other mechanical or electronic

security systems, replacing defective components as needed.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade security systems, including rekeying locks, changing tumblers,

cutting keys, and manually opening locked mechanisms.
- Calibrate precision instruments using standard weights, jigs, fixtures, and hand tools to

adjust alignment and ensure optimal performance.
- Manufacture and maintain blades for circular, band, and power saws, including sharpening

and setting blades to enhance cutting efficiency.
- Test electrical circuits in electronic timepieces and other precision instruments to ensure

proper operation.
- Provide cost estimates and prepare quotations for repair and maintenance services.

Required Skills and Attributes:

- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or AQF Certificate IV
- relevant qualifications at a minimum Certificate III or IV level or at least 3 years of work

experience in lieu
- Proven experience as a locksmith or in a related trade
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised machines
- Strong understanding of security systems and key-cutting techniques
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- At least 1 year of work experience is required

The salary for the role is between $75,000 - $85,000

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Port Melbourne VIC 3207
