I am partnering with a global leader in the mining, equipment, technology and services industry (METS). This company manufactures heavy automated mobile machinery, which is used for large scale exploration projects across the world.

We are actively recruiting for an Engineering Manager to head up the team in Perth. This person would be managing the team through the whole manufacturing process - mechanical, electrical, fabrication and software.

**As the Engineering Manager you would be required to**:

- Responsibilities will include developing and driving the engineering department and supporting the team members with the design and manufacturing process of the heavy mobile equipment.
- Reporting into the General Manager you will be interfacing between the engineering department and the client providing clarity and direction.
- Being involved in the tender and contracts.
- Being the last point of contact for all engineering work leaving the facility.
- Providing new ways of thinking for lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Train and mentor team members and oversee delivery of projects on time and within budget.

**Your key experience and skillset**:

- A degree qualified Mechanical Engineer, with a proven track record managing engineering teams and projects in manufacturing.
- Extensive hydraulic system knowledge, sub-sea and oil & gas engineers encouraged to apply.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering design process - Solidworks, Ansys (FEA, DEM, Stress and Vibration Analysis)
- Experience with Electrical & Automation highly regarded
