**Hours**: This position is Part Time (0.6FTE)

**Location**: Elizabeth, Head to Health

**About the Role**:
The Community Engagement Officer will be part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, responsible for planning and implementing engagement activities for the Northern Head to Health Immediate Access and Short-Term Care programs. They will support community participation, develop resources to improve mental health literacy, and reduce stigma. Additionally, the role involves providing education and information on mental health to community organisations, managing volunteer groups and committees like the Northern Head to Health Reference Group, and maintaining partnerships to ensure early intervention and recovery-focused care for the northern community.

**Experience Requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment;
- Strong experience and expertise with social media as a communication tool.
- A particular skill, passion or area of experience in working with young people

**Qualification and Other Requirements**:

- Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in either Community Development, Social Planning, Social/Behavioural Science, Social Work or another relevant field. Or demonstrated substantial and extensive experience in the mental health sector.
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
