**About the role**

Reporting to the Director of Student Wellbeing and Counselling located in Junior School, we are seeking to appoint a Junior School Counsellor and Wellbeing Co-ordinator with a track record of excellence in supporting student welfare who will contribute enthusiastically to the broader positive culture of the School. Working with the Boys’ and Girls’ Wellbeing Leaders to refine, reimagine, implement and grow a whole school wellbeing program which supports the School's vision and values.

As a key member of the Student Wellbeing team, you will assist in the existing Wellbeing program structure to further strengthen Tintern’s position to support the long-term success of our students. As a member of a relevant professional association, you will provide counselling services to students and families, recommend referrals to external agencies where required, assist in the assessment of students’ safety and welfare needs. You will bring your passion for student wellbeing to the School and above all, have a willingness to engage, connect and care for our students.

This is a part-time role, effective Term 1, 2025.

**Prerequisite**:

- Formal qualifications in counselling or psychology with experience in the relevant field
- Current membership of the Australian Psychological Society or the Australian Association of Social Workers is required.
