**About the role**

The Drinks Specialist - Spirits provides knowledgeable, helpful service with a smile to customers who are looking for that something special, or who might just want help to find the products they know and love. Importantly, you can adapt your style to meet the needs of the customer and you thrive in customer service focussed environments.

Reporting to the Store Manager and joining a National Community of Drinks Specialists, in this specialised role you will share your expertise with customers and team, helping our customers discover a world of drinks experiences.

**In this role, you will**:

- Actively engage customers in an authentic way in store, sharing product knowledge and providing end to end service.
- Work collaboratively with the store leadership team in setting up and facilitating customer events.
- Advocate for My Dan’s loyalty by engaging with customers to understand benefits and product offerings.
- Assist in developing the product knowledge of team members in the store.
- Undertake a variety of instore tasks, including customer service and inventory tasks as well as duty management.
- Make decisions through and role model our Values and Ways of Working.
- Contribute to store sales planning processes by sharing your specialist product knowledge and recommendations on product lines.

You have extensive knowledge in spirits with a passion for continuous learning and growth of your knowledge. You love to share your knowledge with others in a genuine and authentic way. You have a passion for learning about new and emerging trends and categories. Whilst your core knowledge is spirits, you also have knowledge of wine and beer categories and a desire to continue your learning journey in this space.

This role will see you working both autonomously and as part of a team, where your excellent communication and influencing skills will enable you to build long term relationships with customers and team.

**Other key competencies relevant for the role are**:

- Demonstrated strong product knowledge in spirits, with good knowledge of other categories (wine / beer)
- Customer service experience in a fast paced retail, hospitality, sales, events or similar role
- Experience in a drinks related role, including bar work or brand role, would be well regarded
- Familiarity / comfortable utilising digital / social media tools to enhance customer experiences / relationships
- Current RSA certificate
- Ability to work key customer hours
