These include market-leading subsidised private health cover, enhanced parental pay and support when returning to work, subsidised banking products and services, bonus leave days and wellness programmes including discounted gym memberships.

Compliance is a global function that brings together all aspects of regulatory and financial crime risk management. The role holder will be required to lead and contribute to assurance reviews across multiple Global Businesses/ Functions in Australia and New Zealand and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Executing the global CA strategy in-country to assess the risks and effectiveness of controls in the First Line of Defence and Second Line of Defence.
- Informing Risk Owners, Control Owners and Risk Stewards of the design and operational effectiveness of the controls within their area of oversight and control.
- Escalating significant control deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Proactively identifying key emerging compliance risks across the Global Businesses/ Functions.
- Build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders, adopting a cohesive approach to the execution of tasks with minimum conflict.
- Develop/maintain positive and professional relationships with external stakeholders, while ensuring the independence of the assurance function.
Requirements

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Experience and understanding of regulatory compliance and/or financial compliance risk and audit / assurance activities within the financial services industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with very strong interpersonal skills providing the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Capability to build positive and resilient partnerships with key stakeholders, while maintaining independence.
- A lateral thinking style, with natural curiosity and the ability to interpret and solve complex issues, focusing on the detail.
- Ability to work autonomously, with a proactive approach to your work.
- Experience in data analytics would be useful but not essential.

We value different perspectives, we succeed together, collaborating across boundaries, we take responsibility, holding ourselves accountable to get things done. Through these values, HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are appreciated and respected and where opinions count. We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development, flexible working and opportunities to grow in an inclusive environment.
