**About the Role**:

- Join our team as a Group Coordinator in Adult Mental Health on a full time ongoing basis, working from Atherton Road Hub in Oakleigh.
- We are seeking an experienced and motivated mental health professional to lead and coordinate the delivery of group-based psychological and healthy lifestyle interventions. This role plays a key part in supporting individuals with high and moderate prevalence mental health conditions through evidence-based, recovery-oriented care within a multidisciplinary team.
- Key Responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate internal referrals and team activities for brief psychological and lifestyle intervention programs
- Deliver and oversee evidence-based group therapies (e.g., CBT, ACT) for conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and psychosis
- Optimise use of space, staffing, and resources to maximise consumer and carer access
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and education to staff and students
- Engage consumers and families in care planning using the Strengths Model of recovery
- Support service development, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement
- Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting in line with organisational policies
- Liaise with external agencies and contribute to community education and inter-agency collaboration
- This position is open to Social Workers (Grade 3), Occupational Therapy (Grade 3) & Registered Nurse (Grade 4).

Monash Health Mental Health Services serves nearly one million people across five local government areas and over 1,000 staff. The program offers a wide range of clinical units including adult, youth, infant, and specialist services, as well as drug and alcohol and gender dysphoria clinics. Supported by specialist research through Southern Synergy, it also runs several Prevention and Recovery Care Services (PARCS) and Community Care Units focused on recovery and rehabilitation. An integrated operational and clinical structure ensures high-quality care and strong support for staff, consumers, and their families.

**About You**

Qualification & licence requirements for this role include:
**Nursing**
- Current Authority to Practice from AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Required a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing - or completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or specialist post basic course of training which led to registration as a Division 3 nurse.
- Has a minimum of 7 years full time equivalent mental health post graduate qualification experience in mental health nursing.

**Allied Health**

**Occupational Therapy**
- B. App Sc (OT), B. Occupational Therapy, or Master of Occupational Therapy
- Must be registered under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 7 years post graduate experience

**Social Work**
- Must have a Bachelor of Social Work or Masters of Social Work
- Written evidence of eligibility for AASW membership for overseas qualifications is required
- An AASW accredited Bachelor Degree. Degree of Social Work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Mental Health accredited social worker or working towards AASW CPE accreditation.
- Minimum 7 years post graduate experience

**Psychology**
- Maintain clinical practice in accordance with the standards for the accreditation or membership body of the profession - i.e. Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) (AHPRA)
- Maintains record of own Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Provide evidenced based, best practice specialist psychological clinical services to consumers within their organisational unit
- Assist in the provision of developmental activities such as mentoring students, training, implementing research or pilot projects associated with service development. This may include data collection and analysis and quality improvement activities within their work unit and for the profession of psychology across Monash Hea
