**Our Journey**:
The Southern Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA), is a program of Monash Health and has the responsibility in the Southern Region of the Department of Families, Fairness & Housing (DFFH) for:

- The provision and development of effective services to victim/survivors and associated people affected by sexual assault and family violence
- The provision of assessment and treatment for children and young people who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour.
- The provision of public education and professional training on sexual assault and anti-violence issues
- Social planning and processes related to reducing societal violence.

Reporting to Manager, SECASA, Children Young people and families team. This position supports the manager in leading the clinical operations of the SECASA CYF team. This position champions the provision of quality clinical counselling and therapeutic interventions for children and young people at SECASA.

**A Day in the Life**:
As a member of the leadership team, this position will support operationalising SECASA’s strategic direction. This includes support to enable SECASA to achieve service targets within budget as specified in service agreements by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. In addition you will play a key role in embedding evidenced based modailites into our service provision. The clinical Lead will have a strong emphasis on collaborative leadership, building and supporting a resilient team, and outstanding communication resulting in positive client outcomes.

SECASA Clinical Leads are recognised for their clinical expertise, consolidated skills, and capacity to support team members to provide high quality therapeutic interventions.
- Lead, deliver and support provision of high-quality counselling, advocacy and therapeutic interventions for children and young people who have experienced sexual assault and/or family violence
- Provide clinical supervision to staff and students, ensuring quality service provision and promoting a learning culture
- Support management of clinical referrals including flexibly responding to competing priorities, ensuring quality, accessibility, and timely service response
- Organise and implement professional development meetings and activities for Counsellor/Advocates
- Develop and implement clinical review and group supervision
- Provide clinical consultation to internal and external stakeholders for complex cases
- Develop and lead the implementation of clinical tools, policy, process, and procedure documents
- Support and lead best practice at SECASA in trauma focussed therapeutic interventions, including initiation and participation in research,
- Support and promote the wellbeing and safety of team members by promoting a resilient, agile, high performing team and a learning culture
- Liaise and work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including building relationships, and providing specialist community and professional consultation and education
- Operate independently and collaboratively, with a high degree of integrity and accountability, as a member of the SECASA leadership team to operationalise strategic commitments
- Ensure service delivery within the team is aligned with relevant legislation and professional guidelines (including children and young people at risk, MARAM, Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme, Child Information Sharing Scheme, relevant professional Code of Ethics and Practice Standards, and privacy requirements)
- Participate in on call work and roster including after hours and weekends
- Any other duties as required by the Manager

**What You Bring**:

- You will have professional experience working with victim survivors of sexual assault and family violence and in particualr children and young people
- Experience providing supervision for counsellors working with chidlren and young people who have experienced trauma
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of key stakeholders, consumers and staff.

**What You Need**:
Formal qualification in Social Work and eligibility for AASW
- An Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) accredited Bachelor Degree or entry level Master’s Degree of Social Work that provides eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Written evidence of eligibility of AASW membership for overseas qualifications
- Minimum of seven years’ experience as a qualified Social Worker
- Accredited Social Worker as approved by the AASW
