Business Leader

As part of our Global Accelerating a Positive Planet Future strategy and our Places Australia Strategic Business Plan, we are evolving our Places Australia structure seeking a Business Leader that will lead our national Consulting Services business across Australia. This is one of our core business lines and houses our key advisory offerings including Technical Advisory & Project/Program Management and Cost & Commercial.

Core to the success of this future, are our Business Leaders who will enable our team’s success by providing executive leadership, management and supervision of the Places Australia, Business Unit operations and performance to meet the Places Australia’s business areas performance targets and strategic objectives.

Joining a global consultancy, you and your team will collaborate with colleagues in Europe and Asia as well as North & South America. This will allow us to bolster our offering in Australia and bring the best in class to our clients.

**About you**

Reporting directly to the Australian Business Area Director as a member of the senior leadership team, our Business Leader, Consulting Services will drive a safe and respectful culture of inclusion, accountability, human-centricity, and sustainability, and personally role model a commitment to improving quality of life. You will also bring with you:

- A demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills
- Well-developed commercial skills, with a sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behaviours
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills (both internally and externally)
- Strong market reputation and personal brand through thought leadership, market-facing activities relevant to the BU.
- A recognised bachelor or master’s tertiary degree. Qualifications in financial and business management and leadership are highly desirable.
- Professional membership of relevant business/industry institutions in Project Management and/or Cost Consultancy
- At least 10+ years demonstrated experience in operational or business leadership role leading a national business unit in a consulting advisory of which 20+ years is in project management, cost, or strategic advisory professional services firm.
- Well established client management and sales skills
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing a P&L of similar scale
- Strong delivery, commercial and contractual experience in end to end project delivery and client advisory
