We are currently recruiting for a Mine Technician Blast crewwho will report directly into the Supervisor - Blast. You will be part of a highly motivated team delivering quality blasting serviceswhile ensuring a high level of utilization of all drill and blast crews. This role is being offered on lifestyle friendly 7:7 roster.
**A day in the life of aMine Technician Blast crew may include**:
- Assisting shotfirers with on bench activities, barricading, delineation, priming, loading, stemming, off-siding and operating MPU’s.
- Checking drill hole depths are accurate.
- Identifying issues with poor quality drilling to improve future drilling performance.
- Performing blast guard duties prior to blasting activity.
- Ensuring documentation is accurate and to a high standard for Newmont’s records
