The opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a well organised person who works well in a team environment of underwriters and can develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Your new role

As a Specialist Underwriting Operations, you have a strong commitment to excellence in client service and administration and the drive to work as part of a high performing team. Reporting to Head of Underwriting, you will support the Commercial Insurance business and the wider team.

Key roles and responsibilities
- Coordinating with internal teams to help with backend underwriting tasks.
- Utilise underwriting software and tools to input data, run scenarios, and generate necessary reports
- Provide analytical, administrative, and supportive services to the broader team including documentation, filing and ensure to meet compliance and regulations
- Managing and maintaining accurate records of underwriting decisions, policies, and correspondence.
- Help the team with updating training and development material and extent support as and when needed.

About you:
You will bring some experience and understanding of the insurance business and a desire to grow in the role. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail will be highly valued.
- The ability to work well within a team is essential for internal coordination.
- Strong organisational and time management skills are important to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, while problem-solving abilities are crucial for developing solutions.
- Additionally, a solid understanding of relevant regulations and company policies will be a plus.
