**About the role**
Reporting directly to the Community Outreach and Education Manager, you will form an integral part of the state
- wide Education and Outreach Program and will liaise regularly with educational institutions, schools, external stakeholders and RSPCA staff. You will be responsible for developing and delivering education and learning programs that initiate and support attitudinal and behavioural change, in order to advance the prevention of cruelty to animals and improve animal welfare outcomes within the community.
- Develop, deliver and evaluate education and learning programs that initiate and support attitudinal and behavioural change, including but not limited to Youth Justice Programs, Empathy Programs, Community programs, internal education programs such as school holiday program and other stakeholder programs;
- Conduct shelter tours and liaise with internal departments around availability;
- Provide a quality learning environment for students and visitors by using a variety of styles to deliver tailored programs, ensuring delivery techniques and approaches accommodate a diverse range of participants;
- Develop and deliver educational programs to community groups, stakeholders and community members;
- When engaging with Education animals, ensure their welfare is paramount at all times, and in particular ensure all applicable policies and ethics framework requirements for the use and management of Education animals are followed;
- Assist with all administration functions of the team including preparing material, reports, arranging bookings.

**Who are we looking for?**
- Valid Queensland Driver’s Licence;
- National criminal history check and working with children check;
- Current tetanus vaccination;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Diploma of Vocational Education & Training;
- Animal handling and husbandry knowledge and experience;
- Proven ability to cope well under pressure and the ability to multi-task;
- Demonstrated experience maintaining strong partnerships and relationship development;
- Demonstrated extensive experience in facilitation and mentoring;
- High level communication skills (written, oral, liaison and presentation);
- Excellent organisation and time management skills and demonstrated ability and flexibility in adjusting to changing demands;
- Ability to engage and facilitate education sessions to a varied age demographic;
- Ability to travel intrastate and interstate.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. Remuneration is commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
