About the role
**The role of a Court Assessment & Prosecutions Officer is to**:
- Conduct court assessments to determine an offender's suitability for a court order
- Facilitate the variation or cancellation of an order
- Prosecute individuals who fail to comply with their court orders.
- Provide high quality evidence-based advice to the judiciary.
The position will be required to adhere to local or regional rostering arrangements and other staffing management practices as directed.
About you
- experience or knowledge of court processes, prosecutions or related areas
- an ability to provide human services in needs assessment and development of interventions
- capability to provide evidence based advice and recommendations to the court that maximise offender responsiveness interventions
- an ability to manage offenders exhibiting challenging behaviours and escalate as required.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).
