**The Department**

The Bariatric Surgery Registry is an initiative of the Australian and New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgical Society (ANZMOSS) with the current custodian Monash University. The core purpose of the Registry is to document longitudinally the outcomes of bariatric surgery. The Registry provides confidence to surgeons, funders, hospitals and the wider community that bariatric surgery is safe and is achieving improvement in health outcomes to patients at a population level. The Bariatric Surgery Registry is based in Monash University’s Central Clinical School and located at the Alfred Centre.

**The Role**

We are seeking a detail-oriented person with an interest in health and good communication skills for the role of Project Support Officer. The role is to support Registry data collection activities with a primary focus on entry of incoming Registry data into the Registry’s online platform and related administrative tasks. Personal data and health information will be entered and processed according to the Registry’s standard operating procedures with training provided This is a full-time position, although part-time (at least 3 days a week) could be considered. The duties of the role are required to be done onsite at the Alfred Centre during business hours.

**Skills**

**Essential**
- a tertiary qualification in a relevant field; or
- relevant skills and work experience; or
- an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

**Desirable**
- Relevant experience in a similar role with data entry, for Registry, database or similar.
- Relevant experience in data entry and administration within the Health or Research sectors will be viewed favourably, although not an essential requirement of the role.
- Experience in interacting with patients within the Health and/or Research sectors
