**Job description**:

- perform general Laboratory duties associated with testing including quality controls, calculations, equipment calibration and maintenance, reporting of corrective actions and non-conformances.
- Perform general laboratory housekeeping duties including washing, discard, stock control and assist in the day-to day operations of the laboratory as directed.
- Oversee incoming raw materials meet required specification
- Record all QC test results according to regulatory requirements
- Compliance to batch control procedures including label checks
- Involvement in calibration, validation, stability and maintenance activities
- Perform testing according to test methods, including acceptance criteria
- Write and update QC related documentation
- Assist in auditing activities and take corrective and preventative actions
- Communicate effectively and proactively with key stakeholders internal and external.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Experience within a manufacturing/Commercial Laboratory
- Tertiary Qualification in Chemistry and/or food science
- Experience within the same role will be highly regarded
- knowledge of general Wet Chemical, Instrumental and Physical testing.
- Excellent communication skills
- On the job training is available.

**Salary**: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Smithfield NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- Wet chemistry: 2 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)
