About the Role:
As a member of the production team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the extrusion operation across an alternating roster to support the pipe making extrusion process.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring pre-start checklist is completed prior to start-up- Set up and monitoring the operation to ensure the line runs to agreed settings- Rectifying problems to ensure minimum downtime- Quality control sampling and/or testing as per quality procedures- Adjusting the line to maximise efficiency and to ensure production targets are met- Minimising scrap generation- Completing jobs on time and to required quality standards- Complying with all health, safety and quality requirements
About You
Ideally you will have previous experience controlling a process or operating machinery in a manufacturing environment where safety was paramount. Along with that you will bring to the role:
- Experience driving a forklift with a current license- Understanding of safe work practices, manual handling, and workplace procedures- A talent or knack for all things mechanical- Ability to use hand tools- Communication and time management skills- A strong work ethic with reliability and commitment- An ability and willingness to work a 7-day roster in a fast-paced environment- Knowledge of quality control requirements and specifications- Competent in measuring equipment
