**About Us**

Local Support Services is a rapidly growing disability support service provider based in the Western Sydney region. We provide disability support services, community access and in-home care to participants, as well as day programs and school holiday programs for young people with complex needs.

We provide an empowering experience for our participants, allowing them to grow with the support they require in a personalised, goal-oriented, and professional approach. As such, our entire focus is on the betterment of our participants lives.

We want to leave an especially positive, lasting impression with our staff while working with our participant base.

As this is an essential service, you would be required to continue safe working practices throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.

**About You**

We are looking for applicants who exhibit the following:

- At least 1-2 years’ experience in disability, aged care, nursing, or similar fields is key. A passion for working with people who have a disability is crucial.
- Availability for day, evening, and sleep over (night) shifts.
- Experience supporting those with behaviours of concern and high complex needs (or the passion and desire to do so).
- Experience in the delivery of care outcomes for older people and/or people with disability.
- Experience in providing care to complex clients (hoists, PEG feeding, bed transfers and stoma bags).
- Exceptional listening, reading and communication skills, with the ability to recognise and interpret non-verbal cues.
- A collaborative and supportive approach in all you do.
- A detailed and thorough approach to record keeping.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Subcontract

**Salary**: $29.00 - $40.00 per hour
