About Lizard Centre:
For over 20 years the Lizard Centre has been a leader in Applied Behaviour Analysis and early intervention in Australia. We provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Behavioural Therapy Assistant who is available to work with a family in Punchbowl for 3 weekly shifts:
- Monday 4:00pm-6:00pm
- Wednesday 4:00pm-6:00pm
- Friday 4:00pm-6:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 therapy to clients in varied settings, including home/clinic/school
- Support clients in developing their skills; communication, social interactions and emotional regulation
- Collect client data to track progress and identify areas of improvement
- Foster a positive environment that encourages client participation
Skills & Experience
- Studying or completed a Degree/ Certificate in Psychology, Disability, Education, Occupational Therapy or related field (preferred)
- Experience working with children is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A passion for helping individuals reach their full potential
Requirements:
- Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You'
- Australian Driver's License & Vehicle
- Laptop/iPad - you will be using your own device on shift
