We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Disability Services Care Coordinator to join our team.
In the capacity of **On Call-After Hours Coordinator**, you will be required to coordinate with clients and carers to ensure care delivery for any late cancellations, illnesses or last-minute shift requirements. Additionally, you will be the initial point of contact (after hours) for any client or carer queries dealing with these in a professional, customer-first style and escalating to management where required.
Key responsibilities
- Defining, sourcing relevant workers, and making calls to workers to cover the shift shortfalls
- Reviewing workers profiles to ensure all documentation and information is correct and verified.
- Responding to inbound calls from clients and/or their nominated family member who have signed up to use Ability Plus Disability Services to assist them in booking support workers
- Receiving and responding to both written and phone enquiries from support workers on the jobs.
- Working with stakeholdres to ensure support workers on our platform are delivering care to their clients.
- Reviewing and resolving any administrative/technical issues that arise.
- Responding to emergencies and incidents reported after hours by providing support and advice as per Ability Plus Policy and Procedure & escalating incidents to management with urgency
- Recording all changes to shifts and produce a timely report for distribution to the Operations Manager and Care Coordinators Team daily.
- Updating rostering system, Visual Care, to reflect changes in participant and worker’s rosters
- Providing a high level of personalised and empathetic service with a view to retaining our clients.
- Comply with health and safety legislation and guidelines
Essential qualifications, experience, and screening
- Full Covid 19 Vaccination certificate
- Tertiary level qualification in Disability or minimum 2 years equivalent experience in a disability coordination role.
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screen Clearance
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Minimum two referee checks (Supervisor/Manager)
**About you**
Key to the success in this role is demonstrated ability in the below skills and experience.
- The ability to work a shift within the hours of 5pm-10pm weeknights, 6am-8am weekdays, all day Saturday and from 6am to 10pm on Sundays
- Prior experience essential in a similar role within the Aged Care or Disability Industry
- Demonstrated experience in a similar high-volume staff rostering and scheduling role.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of rostering and scheduling processes.
- Experience using Visual Care or similar rostering and scheduling software (Experience using Visual Care is highly regarded).
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Moderate competency in Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Accuracy and attention to detail with data entry.
- Understanding of industrial relations, awards, and agreements and how they impact
rosters
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and high level of resilience; and
- Relevant experience of rostering, scheduling, or labour-hire, preferably in the Communities Services sector, specifically Disability.
- Strong planning and organisation skills with good attention to detail
A clear NDIS Workers Clearance Check and Working with Children Check are a condition of employment in this position.
