**About the Role**:
Positive Behaviour Practitioners are an integral part of a multidisciplinary team and will work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to deliver person-centred services to enhance participation and independence, empowering people with a disability to live a full life and achieve their goals.

Reporting to the Leader Positive Behaviour Support, this role will have key responsibilities in implementing an evidence-based approach within behaviour support services, developing and overseeing behaviour support plans in consultation with the clients, and other stakeholders.

Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners develop individualised strategies that are responsive to the person’s needs and are in line with their goals. The role delivers positive Behaviour Supports within the framework of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, whilst also achieving delivery targets, engaging in regular supervision and working within a cohesive PBS and consultative team.

**About you**:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will ideally have the following:

- Be self-assessed as Proficient or higher in line with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
- Hold a tertiary qualification in an allied health or related discipline (desirable, but not required)
- Experience in implementing evidence-based frameworks and delivering holistic supports
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve
- An understanding of working within the NDIS billable hours environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Quality & Safeguards commission requirements
- Demonstrated experience working with people with complex needs and challenging behaviours
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission and;
- Ability to independently travel within the Perth metropolitan area.

You will also be required to provide the following information:

- Current Working with Children Check
- Current registration with the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Current First Aid certificate
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module
- Valid NDIS Workers Screening Check or eligibility to obtain an acceptable check prior to employment
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Unrestricted working rights.
