**The Role**

You will be tasked with spearheading the strategic environmental and sustainability practices across the wider, national group. Leading from the front and fostering a culture of social and environmental sustainability, you will provide strategic leadership on Symal's approach to sustainably delivering projects across it's businesses. Your main duties will include but won't be limited to the following:

- Developing and executing environmental, and sustainability strategy as well as oversight of this reporting to the wider business
- Driving a culture of contemporary thinking and alternative practices that benefit the environment and provide sustainable working practices
- Drive change through the wider Symal business allowing the group to become more environmentally sustainable
- Have an active involvement during the project tender and delivery phase, providing feedback on alternative methods of construction, pricing and supply use
- Lead a group of health, safety, environment and quality advisors, providing support and mentorship
- Adopting cleaner polices and implementing and maintaining those policies through the wider business

**About you**
- Extensive experience and background initiating environmental and sustainability policies across civil infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience managing large teams on heavy infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of environmental impact assessments for large project types
- Sound understanding of environmental legislation on a state and federal level

**Salary**: $180,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
