Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to provide support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in our organisation. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing individualised support to children with ASD to achieve their goals and maximise their potential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with children with to develop and implement individualised support plans based on their needs, interests, and goals
- Provide support in daily living activities such as personal care, feeding, and dressing, as required
- Assist children in accessing community activities and services, including education, recreation, and health services
- Use positive behaviour support strategies to help children develop social skills, self-regulation, and coping skills
- Collaborate with other team members, including therapists, educators, and medical professionals, to provide coordinated care and support for children with ASD
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of the support provided and progress made towards achieving goals
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure consistent and high-quality support for children with ASD
- Build positive relationships with families and carers of children with ASD and provide them with regular updates on progress and support provided

**Requirements**:

- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of experience working with children with ASD and their families
- Knowledge and understanding of ASD, including communication and sensory needs, and behaviour support strategies
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
- A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Contract

**Salary**: $30.00 - $67.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

- Australia (required)
