**Key Responsibilities**
- Promote residents’ participation in age appropriate activities and tasks within the community and at home
- To help the resident engage in outings and daily activities and promote involvement in the community
- Provide direct care in accordance with the NDIS plan
- Abide by the medication administration policy, WHS procedures and client rights policies
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of resident by reporting any issues and concerns to the appropriate persons
- Provide 1:1 care or small group support
- Ensure documentation and information relating to the resident is accurately and appropriately recorded

Disability Support Workers provide assistance to a person with a disability with everyday tasks that a person without a disability would be doing for themselves and may include, and not be limited to, the following activities:

- Manual Handling;
- Showering;
- Toileting;
- Grooming;
- Meal assistance;
- Meal preparation;
- Exercise;
- Domestic responsibilities;
- Recreation;
- Personal development;
- Communication;
- Mobility;
- Personal administration;
- Shopping; and
- Other independent living skills.

Disability Support Workers will record case notes that detail progress against PCP goals following each shift.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Two Reference checks
- Current police check (less than 6 months old)
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Level 2
- Current CPR (Annual)
- A working permit is required for those on a special visa (e.g. student visa)
- Administration of Medication
- Manual Handling
- Triple COVID-19 Vaccination
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Certificate of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Infection control certificate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Point Cook, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- complex client: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- NDIS Screecheck (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Certificate III/IV Individual or Disability (required)
- Victorian Drivers License (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
