**About the role**

An exciting and immediate apprenticeship opportunity for you to build your career as a Graphic Prepress Mac Operator and to join our growing Prepress team. The position will work across a rotation shift & will join an established team who are the success behind our print professionals.

This role will process client files for print production and focus on a premium quality standard. If you have experience with iMac’s, are service focused & enjoy functioning within fast-paced environments, this role is for you Don’t miss this great opportunity to start your career.

Duties include:

- Creation & manipulation of digital files in compliance with technical specifications for various print technologies, e.g. separations & trapping
- Preparation for print production, including pre-flighting, proofing & soft proofing
- Generation of artwork using Adobe Suite & Esko (AE) platforms
- Adhering to client branding guidelines or following a client brief
- Execute & manage workload in accordance with production schedule
- Perform QA procedures for digital files & plates
- Monitoring of consumables for ordering purposes
- Develop an understanding of continual improvement principles
- Collaborate and liaise with other departments as required
- Troubleshoot operating errors to determine the cause & take action to remedy issues
- Perform & document preventative maintenance of machinery.

**About you**
- Experience in Illustrator & Photoshop (preferred)
- Apple iMac experience (preferred)
- Sound problem-solving acumen
- Excellent eye for detail & a passion for quality control
- Flexible & adaptable to change
- Able to prioritise large workloads & work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to organise your daily work & time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication with good active listening skills
- Demonstrates good organisation, hands-on practical approach.
