The Head of Cyber Security will lead a team of security professionals and will work closely with other departments to develop and implement effective security strategies and protocols.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive information security policies and procedures, including security architecture, risk management, and incident response plans
- Identify, assess, and manage cyber security risks related to the organization's information assets and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies
- Influence the development, implementation, and maintenance of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other security tools through policies and auditing
- Oversee the testing and evaluation of security controls and technologies to ensure they are effective and efficient
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations
- Manage the organization's incident response program and coordinate response activities in the event of a security incident
- Monitor emerging security threats and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks
- Provide regular reports and updates to CDTO on the status of the organization's security posture and make recommendations for improvements as needed
- Hire, train, and manage a team of security professionals

**The ingredients to be successful**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in information security, including experience leading a team of security professionals
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other security tools
- Experience developing and implementing information security policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of relevant security standards and regulations, including PCI DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications preferred
