Our client is an engineering company based in Clayton who manufacture low batch jobs and prototype work for Biomedical, Defense, Pharmaceuticals and Food industries both locally and overseas.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Progamme, setup and operate CNC Mills and Lathes in a small to medium batch environment/manufacture.
- Must be able to read and interpret Engineering and Machining Drawings.
- Accurately read and work with both metric and imperial measurements.
- Inspect and confirm ‘1st off ‘ meets the drawing specifications.
- Work consistently to manufacture parts on time with a high standard of finish and accuracy.
- Check all work at every stage of production to ensure parts are made correctly to our QA standards.
- Focus on maintaining and/or improving productivity and efficiency.
- Self-manage time effectively.
- Plan jobs so that materials are used efficiently and with mínimal waste.
- Keep machines and work areas clean and well maintained.
- Check stock to determine amount available, anticipating needed stock and submitting material requisitions for jobs.
- Other responsibilities as required by Management.

**Education, Qualifications and Experience: -**
- Australian recognized Trade Certificate
- Experience working with plastics, stainless steels, brass, aluminium, etc.
- Knowledge of Fanuc Controllers
- Knowledge of Quality Control Procedures and OH&S

**Hours Of Work**:
Afternoon Shift - 38 hours per week (close to public transport)

Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10.36pm and Friday 2pm to 7.36pm

Hourly Rates between $35 to $37 per hour

**Salary**: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

- Clayton South, VIC 3169: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- CNC: 2 years (required)
