**Join our Disaster Resilience Unit as an Operations Officer today**

The Disaster Resilience Unit oversees Emergency Management, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Fire Life Safety and Security Services across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. It is also responsible for the development, review, and monitoring of local procedures and plans, including testing and evaluation.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Director of the Disaster Resilience Unit and the Chief Operating Officer, this role will be involved in:

- Oversee the operational management of the SALHN Disaster Resilience Unit, across the areas of Security, Emergency Response, Incident Management, Compliance and Business Continuity, ensuring delivery of expected Performance outcomes
- Develop procedures, guidelines and work instructions and establish and evaluate processes that deliver specialist support and the effective coordination of core activities
- Budget preparation, monitoring and reporting and adherence to resources allocations
- Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division/ Service and strategic plans

**About you**:

- Proven ability to recognise problems, formulate and implement clear and effective solutions and proven ability to set priorities to achieve agreed outcomes, targets and initiatives
- Extensive experience in planning, leading and managing the delivery of complex and critical disaster, business continuity and emergency management programs, projects and incident responses including identifying and undertaking the analysis of issues and risks and delivering initiatives within budget and timeframes
- Demonstrate experience in developing, writing, implementing and evaluating strategic and operational emergency plans, instructions, standard operating procedures and exercises
