The
**Global Partner Solutions (GPS)** team mission is to build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more. GPS is a sales organisation accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft. Building on the GPS mission, the Tech team mission is to develop the strategy and plan for how we build, nurture, and engage the partner ecosystem to drive tech acceleration and customer outcomes.
The
**Surface Partner Technology Strategist (PTS)** is at the forefront of our digital transformation efforts for our partners. The Surface PTS plays a critical role in working with partners to align their technology roadmaps with Microsoft's Surface portfolio and technology priorities that enable customers to realize the vision of Microsoft Surface as the preferred endpoint device.
The Surface PTS is the Technical Owner of Partner’s Business Solutions evolvement and its success with Microsoft Surface solutions and responsible to lead partners through end point modern management and modern deployment with a Technical Sales Challenger mindset as well as Innovation and Tech intensity as leading principles.
**Responsibilities**:
**The purpose of this role**
- Win Partners’ Endpoint Strategy - Win endpoint strategy and Surface share of partner wallet by driving outcome-based technical evangelization plan
- Build partners’ technical capabilities - Build the technical capacity and capability with our Surface partners through technical enablement.
- Expand Partners’ Solutions portfolio - Assist partners in developing their own solutions built around Surface and our technical advantages.
- Drive Microsoft Technology Adoption - Drive the long-term technical strategy and engagement with Resellers as it relates to Microsoft Surface device solution when bundled with M365 deployment, device management, and security.
- This role will own the technical partner strategy for Surface, as well as collaborating with other parts of Microsoft and our partners, always with the Partners’ needs at the heart of everything you do.

**Qualifications**:
**What skills do you need to have?**
This role will focus on Microsoft Surface, hence experience in hardware technology sales and solutions be required.
- Partner & Industry Insights. Deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, emerging Cloud trends and their impact on customer opportunities.
- Trusted Advisor. Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with Partners and/or customers that instil confidence and trust.
- Partner Enablement. Experience in offering guidance to the broader technical team to ensure that technical pre-sales, deployment, and consumption are part of solution development efforts; ability to coaches the partner on building resilience to technical issues and dealing with competition.
- Collaboration. Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Communication. Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams. Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences at different levels of organizations.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies
- OR equivalent experience.
