**Fixed Term, Part-time Opportunity**

Little Mountain Church of Christ has an opportunity for a Children's Team Lead to join us on a Fixed Term, Part-time opportunity, for an initial 12 month period, working 12 hours per week.

Bringing a love for children, a willingness to learn and a sense of fun and creativity, the Children's Team Lead will work alongside the Ministry Leadership Team and under guidance from the Ministry Team Lead.

**They will perform delegated leadership and ministry tasks including**:

- Encouraging spiritual growth of children and families in Little Mountain Church;
- Building a volunteer children and families ministry team;
- Coordinating the planning, teams and resources related to weekly children's programs;
- Assistance in adherence to Safe Ministry policies and practices.

**As part of the role, you will experience**:

- Mission within a broader setting, this includes Little Mountain Church, and potentially the campus (Pool, Café, Aged Care) or wider community (local schools);
- Being part of a safe, collaborative and encouraging ministry team, with opportunities to pray and meet regularly;
- One-to-one mentoring and discipleship to support the personal, professional and spiritual formation of our leaders;
- Participation in local and regional events, training and networking opportunities relevant to the development of our leaders.

**Leader Qualities**

The person we are looking for will have an authentic and maturing love for God and a commitment to serve His people in the church and community. They will have a love for working with children of different ages and look for opportunities to integrate children and families into the life of Little Mountain Church, campus and community.

They have a solid knowledge of scripture and get excited to share the story of Jesus, so that every child can grow in their faith. They will enjoy working collaboratively in a team leadership environment and have skills in developing leaders for children's ministry. Their creativity and energy will inform the coordination of children's activities and programs, but be able to delegate tasks well to share the load. In dealing with others, they will be servant-hearted, encouraging and humble. They will model ongoing personal spiritual formation and self-care within the context of the team.

A willingness to listen, learn and develop in leadership qualities, will be highly regarded, even if practical experience may be limited.
