**About the Position**

***We are looking to welcome a**Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Practitioner** to provide specialist domestic and family violence advice and assistance to colleagues and people contacting the service.**

***:

- **Full time temporary position until 5 June 2026.**:

- **Level 5 under the SCHCADS Award. Salary range is $97,378 - $101,788 + Super.**

***_Key Responsibilities:_**

***:

- **Assess referrals into the service to screen for domestic and family violence.**:

- **Undertake risk assessments where domestic and family violence is identified.**:

- **Provide colleagues and enquirers with advice on safe engagement strategies for families affected by DFV.**:

- **Participate in home visits where appropriate.**:

- **Assist with the assessment of client needs and decisions regarding intensive support, case management and referral pathways.**

***About You**

***:

- **A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (allied health, social work, human services).**:

- **At least 5 years working in a domestic and family violence capacity.**:

- **An understanding of contemporary issues and challenges in the field of child protection and approaches to enhancing child safety and wellbeing.**:

- **Experience and knowledge of domestic and family violence issues including theory, dynamics and the impact on individuals, families and communities.**
