**YOUR CONTRIBUTION**

As Project Support Officer, you will:

- Work closely with Skills Development and Training Officer to address barriers which are preventing an effective school to work transition
- Developing a School to Industry Transition Framework which could be adapted for use across the broader Southeast Region
- Assist with the establishment and operation of a Manufacturing Academy
- Promote Careers in Manufacturing on the Gold Coast with individual schools or alliances
- Facilitate engagement between schools and the manufacturing industry by demonstrating the value proposition for both stakeholders
- Engage with industry stakeholders at events and meetings/workshops
- Demonstrate commitment to the Department's core values of strong customer service, teamwork, open communication, leadership and innovation.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**

You will be assessed on your capability and capacity for the following:

- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in the education and training field, particularly in school to work transition
- High level of written and verbal communication, presentation skills
- Research skills
- Experience in developing and implementing stakeholder engagement and development plans
- Supports strategic direction-Understands the work environment and contributes to the development of work plans and team goals. Demonstrates an awareness of the implications of issues that may impact on own work objectives
- Achieves results-Sees tasks through to completion. Works within agreed priorities. Commits to achieving quality outcomes. Maintains accurate records and files. Seeks feedback from supervisor to gauge satisfaction and seeks assistance when required
- Supports productive working relationships-Actively listens to colleagues and clients. Shares information and ensures others are kept informed of issues. Works collaboratively and operates as an effective team member
- Displays personal drive and integrity-Focuses on achieving objectives even in difficult circumstances. Remains positive and responds to pressure in a calm manner
- Communicates with influence-Confidently presents messages in a clear and precise manner. Focuses on key points and uses appropriate language. Structures written and oral communication to ensure clarity
