St Vincent Catholic Primary School Clear Island Waters is situated on the Gold Coast and prides itself on the spirit that can be found in our community. We are a co-educational school with an enrolment of over 790 students from Prep through to Year 6.

Summary

Play a key role in supporting the school's administrative and operational needs, taking on a diverse range of tasks.  We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Officer to join our Prep team in 2026. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to support early years learners in a dynamic and nurturing environment.

• Start date: Commencing January, 2026
• Work hours: 27.5 hours per week
• Salary: School Officer Level 2 $ super (School Salary Scale)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Organising documents and correspondence as directed
• Responding to enquiries and providing basic information as required
• Assisting with arranging meetings and other school activities or events.
• Assist Prep teachers in the delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Support students with individual and small group activities
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment
• Contribute to the social and emotional wellbeing of students
• Collaborate with staff to support the learning and care needs of young children

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Proficiency in and an understanding of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
• Adaptable, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Reliability, initiative, and a positive attitude
• For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
• Relevant qualifications or experience in early childhood or education support (desirable)

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
