Millstone is a cafe/patisserie and catering company that serves up seasonal inspired brunch, Ottolenghi style lunch and French inspired patisserie and cake. From 2016, Millstone is also catering all over Melbourne with a menu is the same inspiration.

With extensive experience within the catering industry and solid organizational abilities, you will be responsible of the coordination, planning and managing catered events. Other main responsibility will be to design and plan food and beverage menus considering clients’ preferences and special request (dietary requirements)
- **Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with clients on menu selection, customer requirements and proposing catering options.
- Planning, designing food and beverage menu considering client’s preferences and special requests (Dietary requirement).
- Overseeing venues, seating/setup, equipment, food and service preparation.
- Hiring, training and supervising catering staff, as well as scheduling employee shifts.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety food regulation.
- Monitoring the availability of catering stock and supplies.
- Communicating effectively with clients, staff, and third-party vendors.
- Researching catering trends and promoting competitive catering services.
- **Catering manager requirements**:

- 2-3 years of experience in catering management or similar.
- Advanced knowledge of best practices in catering management.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong administration, organisation skills with great attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate catering requirements with customers, chefs and suppliers.
- Exceptional ability to deliver catering services within budget and on time.
- Experience in hiring, training, and overseeing staff.
- Valid driver’s licence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 - 32 per week

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Fixed shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Malvern, VIC 3144: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
