**Your New Chapter**
Are you a qualified vet nurse looking to step out of the clinic and into a rewarding, flexible opportunity? Whether you're after some extra income or want to share your passion for patient care in a new setting, this could be the perfect role for you.
At VetPartners, we believe in growing our people as much as we care for our patients—and our Training Centre is where that magic happens. As a Casual Training Assistant, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering practical, engaging training sessions for veterinarians.
From preparing cadavers and equipment to assisting with workshop logistics and supporting our educators on the day, you’ll help create a seamless and professional training experience that shapes the future of veterinary care. It’s the ideal role for someone who loves being organised, enjoys supporting others, and wants to stay connected to the clinical world without the hustle of full-time practice.
This role offers casual hours, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful learning experiences—all while using the clinical skills you’ve worked hard to build.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Workshop Coordination:
- Cadaver Preparation: Prepare cadavers in accordance with the VTC Procedure - Cadaver Management policy.
- Equipment Setup: Set up all required equipment and resources for the workshops.
- WHS Induction: Conduct Workplace Health and Safety inductions and obtain signed WHS agreements from each attendee.
- Welcome Address: Deliver welcome addresses to attendees and introduce educators.
- Catering Management: Order, set out, and clean up catering for workshops.
- Point of Contact: Serve as the main point of contact on the day for any general inquiries from attendees and educators.
- Training Support: Assist educators with the delivery of training content as required.
- Workshop Cleanup: Oversee and support attendees with re-bagging cadavers and cleaning equipment at the conclusion of each workshop.
- General Responsibilities:
- Stock Management: Perform stocktake and ordering of consumables and general supplies at the end of each workshop.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle general administrative tasks to support workshop operations.
- Cadaver Audit Log: Maintain the cadaver audit log in accordance with the VTC Procedure - Cadaver Management policy.
- Quarterly Stocktake: Conduct quarterly consumables stocktake.
- Ad Hoc Support: Assist the Learning and Development team with ad hoc tasks as needed.
**Skills, Attributes, and Experience**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a veterinary discipline.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive materials with care and discretion.
