**Position Information**:
Epping Public School has an enrolment of 872 students, including 95% from a non-English speaking background. Our site includes a 3 storey building with flexible classroom spaces that was opened in 2020. The school has a dedicated staff and supportive community, offering an innovative learning environment that caters for all students. Our staff work collaboratively to create a culture of continuous improvement, resulting in increased student learning outcomes, engagement and wellbeing. Whole school priorities include embedding evidence-based best practice for literacy and numeracy, assessment, data and high potential & gifted education. We integrate technology into teaching and learning programs to enrich and differentiate learning experiences for our students. We provide a wide range of extracurricular/sporting and leadership opportunities for our students.

**Selection Criteria**:

- In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with the demonstrated ability to build the capacity of teachers and middle leaders to support the focus of effective classroom practice that lead to successful outcomes for all students.
- Capacity to lead the development of a vibrant and engaging school culture and promote authentic community partnerships that enhance learning opportunities for all students.
- Proven ability to carry out the multi-faceted day to day operations of the school while promoting a positive school culture focused on progress in learning, wellbeing and success for every student.
- Proven ability to lead whole school programs to support the needs of a diverse range of students.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
