Role Overview As a salon assistant in the Josh Wood Hair team, you will play a key role in delivering an elevated salon experience by supporting both our expert colourists and stylists, and our valued clients. We are searching for exceptional salon assistants to help bring this exciting partnership to life. - Key Responsibilities - Client Experience & Hospitality- Provide a warm and professional welcome to all clients.- Assist in curating a luxury client experience, ensuring comfort from arrival to departure.- Prepare and serve refreshments, maintaining a high standard of presentation.- Support salon professionals by ensuring each client’s journey is seamless. - Salon Operations & Support- Maintain the salon’s impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards.- Assist stylists and colourists with salon preparations, including shampooing, head massages, and brushing hair.- Ensure salon tools and workstations are prepared, restocked, and organised.- Support with stock management, ordering, and retail merchandising within the salon space. - Retail & Booking Support- Develop product knowledge to assist clients with retail purchases.- Support with bookings, client check-ins, and payments.- Ensure excellent communication across all client touchpoints. - Who We’re Looking For- Passion for people and providing excellent customer experience.- A real interest in the hair and beauty industry with a keen eye for detail.- A natural ability to engage with clients and provide outstanding hospitality.- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.- Previous experience in salon, retail, or hospitality is an advantage but not essential.- A team player who thrives in a collaborative, creative setting. - Benefits- Be part of a globally recognised hair & beauty brand in its exciting Australian launch.- Competitive salary with growth opportunities.- Ongoing training and development to build a career in the beauty industry.- Complimentary hair services.- Access to industry-leading events and networking opportunities. - Join us as we bring the future of hair colour to Australia
