**About our Opportunity**
This role has a broad remit, is internationally focused, and will take the lead in driving the cultural transformation of safety and wellbeing across the Detmold Group to align with our goal of being “100% Safe”. It will lead and drive actions to ensure that our work and workplaces have a positive impact upon all our employee’s health and wellbeing across the globe.
In addition, the role provides direct leadership of a small team based in Adelaide, responsible for the management, promotion and improvement of WHS&W, injury prevention and injury management across Australia.
**About the Role**
More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

- Developing and driving a Group wide Safety Management Framework and ensure behavioural commitment
- Leading the development, implementation and monitoring of activities and projects to enable the cultural transformation of safety related behaviours
- Understanding the global safety position of our business and build relationships across multiple stakeholders
- Providing advice and recommendations on HSE legislation, regulations and best practice to key stakeholders
- Leading the development, implementation and monitoring of effective HSW management system, consistent with relevant legislative requirements
- Managing and maintain HSE systems, policies and procedures ensuring they are robust, effective and support team objectives
- Engaging and educate employees at all levels to develop an effective and proactive health and safety culture
- Leading and engage a team of safety professionals
- Leading our Social Accountability Audits and compliance
- Driving wellbeing initiatives, with our increased focus on the ‘whole person’ and their psychological wellbeing
- Preparing regular HSW performance reports for the Detmold Group Board, Group Executive Team and other functional leadership teams as required
- Leading all activities to ensure the maintenance and effective operation of the licence for Self-Insurance
- Reviewing and investigating as required, serious and critical HSW incidents

**About You**
As the successful applicant, you will:

- Hold experience and a formal qualification in Health and Safety and/or experience in a Senior Health Safety and Wellbeing role
- Possess experience in the development and operation of effective Health and Safety Management Systems
- Be an exceptional communication skills, demonstrating the ability to influence and coach others, including executive leaders
- Hold demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of cultural change programs
- Hold experience in a large FMCG or manufacturing environment
