**About the Business Unit**:
People, Safety, Culture and Communications' (PSCCs) core functions span the breadth of workplace cultural and people matters, including human resource policy and strategy; organisational culture and change; recruitment, redeployment and retention; performance and development; pay, benefits and workforce reporting; occupational health and safety management; and employment regulations.

The Mental Health Advisor sits within Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance (SWC), a branch of PSCC in the Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department). The SWC branch provides process, systems and services to support the department to meet its responsibilities under health and safety laws (_Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004_, _Dangerous Goods Act 1985_ and _Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013_).

**About the Role**:
The Mental Health Advisor supports the Chief Psychology Officer to develop and deliver innovative programs of work that aim to improve health and wellbeing of employees across the department.

Some of your duties will include:

- Leading the coordination and scheduling of health and wellbeing initiatives, information sessions, and events.
- Supporting procurement activities, contract administration, coordinating professional development and training programs.
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver health and wellbeing initiatives across the department.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Demonstrable experience in project management or contract management supporting the delivery of improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant wellbeing models, tools and frameworks (highly desirable).

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Allied Health, Mental Health, Organisational Development, Health Promotion and/or Policy is advantageous, but not essential.
- Experience in any of the following areas would be desirable - business administration, procurement or contract management.
