What is the role?

Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Team Leader - Quintiq Service & Support

The AFP's Enterprise Rostering Solution (ERS) Team is responsible for developing an innovative AFP Enterprise Rostering Framework, delivering the AFP's new time recording, rostering and planning software (Quintiq) and implementing a new service delivery model that will support the rollout of the framework and Quintiq.

Quintiq will change the way the AFP schedules, plans and manages $1 billion worth of operational resources and will affect more than 7,500 frontline officers and support staff across Australia, including ACT Policing. Quintiq will increase decision making, enhance operational efficiency and improve the overall health and wellbeing of all employees by allowing for the selections of the right person, with the right skills, to fill the right role, at the right time.

As a Team Leader you also play a pivotal role in developing people, managing change and influencing behaviours that lead to a supportive culture that respects the perspectives, talents and value of each individual. Consistent with the AFP values, AFP leadership philosophy, organisational reform agendas, AFP corporate business plans and your Performance Development Agreement, the expectation is that you will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

What will you do?

**As the Team Leader - Quintiq Service & Support, you will**:
Lead a small team to deliver customer service and service desk activities to the workforce;
Manage and allocate tasks to the team through ServiceNow within agreed timeframes;
Identify, investigate and provide solutions for issues that may arise including engaging with the vendor for defect management;
Proactively identify opportunities to promote continuous improvement and facilitate cooperation; and
Engage with key stakeholders and lead meetings to ensure open communication and collaboration.
Essential Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge or experience with service desk operations, IT service management, and/ or system administration.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to engage and liaise with diverse stakeholder groups.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and at times, complete tasks with limited guidance.
Demonstrated leadership skills and drive for continuous improvement.
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Relevant qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise.
Desirable Requirements

The following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:
Experience in or an understanding of rostering, or scheduling / planning systems.
ITIL Certification.
