**THE TEAM**:
Our People & Culture Team create communities for our people and customers to thrive. We set and deliver the People strategy and everything we do enables performance and growth. As trusted business advisors, the People and Culture function works with our customers to focus on activities that strengthen business performance, such as building leadership skills and drive effective change leadership, creating a best place to work, encourage collaboration, employee engagement etc.

**THE ROLE**:
The Head of People & Culture Commercial is a critical member of the People & Culture Leadership team. The role is accountable for developing and implementing the Australian People & Culture strategy for around 50% of Australian Business including the Commercial functions, At Home, Away from Home, Licensed and Commercial Excellence (circa. 1,600 employees),

Partnering with the Vice Presidents across all 4 Sales channels this role plays a pivotal role in shaping a consistent Commercial Employee experience and Culture. Setting clear leadership, diversity and engagement goals whilst keeping safety a top priority.

You will lead a team of experienced People & Culture Business Partners based in Australia who will support the execution of the strategy nationally.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build the leadership capability within the Commercial division, through executive coaching and expert P&C advice to the Commercial VPs and their Leadership Teams. You will also operate as a key contributor and strategic advisor on building a culture of inclusion, high performance and accountability.
- Constructively & confidently challenge and partner with the VPs to enable great people decisions that will grow their businesses.
- Lead a team of high performing, experienced Leadership and People Partners. Fostering their career and development plans in service of their success personally and professionally.
- Shape the multi
- year people strategy: focusing on attracting, retaining and developing top talent which is aligned to the achievement of the Commercial long-range plans.
- Provide thought leadership and generate commercial insights to inform people initiatives encompassing workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, culture & engagement, diversity & inclusion and organisational change and development.
- Enable the consistent deployment of annual people initiatives to achieve organisational objectives in the areas of employee engagement, performance management, talent management and remuneration & reward.
- Partner with local and global centres of expertise to provide strategic insights & input into the design and development of programs and initiatives, reflecting frontline business requirements on Talent, Succession, Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion & engagement.
- Provide advice and guidance on the resolution of complex employee relations issues in partnership with the Workplace Relations & Legal functions.
- Lead workforce optimisation programs, including labour cost benchmarking, workforce planning and operating model reviews, building and influencing business cases for change, including recommendations regarding the workforce transition plans and change management.

**ABOUT YOU**:
Our next Head of People & Culture for Commercial will have;
- 10+ years’ experience in senior People & Culture generalist roles with experience partnering with Executive Teams
- An ability to challenge and influence in the face of resistance and drive relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills and acts as a role model to People & Culture and business leaders.
