Assist in implementation of Company HSE programmes, policies, procedures and processes within facility and across NOV Energy Products and Services (EPS) business segment.
- Provide HSE support in development and review of risk assessments / job safety analysis to support HSE management system and business activities.
- Maintain facility legal and other requirements (including required permits) register.
- Provide advice to local management on HSE regulatory compliance and applicable industry practices.
- Work with facility management to prepare facility Business Continuity Plans
- Work with facility management and through risk assessment and regulatory requirements develop HSE training programmes and HSE Training Matrix.
- Work with facility management to implement HSE controls and HSE Bridging documents for personnel undertaking work at customer rig sites, including HSE support for journey management.
- Encourage and promote safe working practices, observe, intervene and correct at risk conditions / behaviour.
- Provide HSE support for operational tenders and for registration within supply chain databases, eg ISNetWorld.
- Conduct facility HSE audits and participate in facility workplace inspections.
- Promote near miss reporting and record and investigate any workplace incidents (including NOV personnel field related incidents).
- Coordinate programme for waste streams and waste disposal to maximise re-use and recycling opportunities.
- Collect and monitor data for related Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) reporting.
- Maintain facility and field related Emergency Response Plans.
- Schedule and record emergency related drills, eg Fire Evacuation.
- Document and develop facility specific and field work specific Level III HSE procedures.
- Monthly HSE reporting on progress of HSE key performance indicators and HSE objectives and targets.
- Provide support for HSE communications including HSE Meetings, HSE Tool Box Talks, HSE Management Reviews.
- Provide general HSE support (including remote support) to other NOV locations and business units across Australia.
**EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS**:
- Experience in the Oil and Gas sector and / or HSE would be preferred
- Proficient in IT (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Recognised HSE qualification (minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety)
- Understanding of ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 management system standards would be preferred
