**About the Role**:
SMS are currently seeking an Asset and Logistics Manager for full-time employment.

This is a pivotal role within SMS’s Yard Team, whose main objective is to ensure the daily operations of the SMS scaffold yard operate safely and efficiently.

This is an exciting and varied position, comprising of a blend of desk based & practical hands-on responsibilities.

With the role being so diverse, we believe that the position would suit someone who is highly adaptable and displays an aptitude for timely problem-solving.

The successful applicant will also have the highest regard for safety and will be required to actively contribute in HSE based activities to ensure the health, safety and well-being of themselves and others.

**Day to day tasks include**:

- Run daily pre-starts & de-brief
- Coordinate and supervise the accurate pick, dispatch and return of orders in accordance with site and company requirements and cross check counts
- Maintain accurate and thorough record keeping of all inventory movements using Quantify (Inventory Control Software)
- Maintain the general cleanliness and maintenance of the building and grounds
- Control, plan and assist with all scaffold/inventory stock movements in and out of the branch with strict measures adhered to, guaranteeing compliance to company procedures
- Ensure accurate scaffold and inventory control in the yard is maintained
- Ensure stock is always organised into effective areas and locations
- Operate forklift and load trucks in accordance with permissible load capacity
- Inspect forklifts and vehicles and maintain in accordance with manufacturers requirements

**Skills and Attributes**

**Mandatory**
- Construction Card;
- Proof of Right to work in Australia
- Intermediate level of computer literacy
- Driver’s License (C Class)
- Valid forklift license

**Desirable**
- Inventory control experience
- Leading Hand experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- MR/HR License
- Scaffolding experience/knowledge
- Stores or dispatch yard experience in a similar industry
