West Coast Bus Charters & Go Party Bus are looking for a new Group Operations Manager

West Coast Bus Charters & Go Party Bus has over 10 years’ experience in the charter bus industry providing charter bus solutions for schools, general charter, party charter, mining and cooperate clients. Our Fleet is made up of over 70 vehicles of every requirement from a 4 seater luxury cars, luxury coaches, party buses to a 85 seater articulated bus we have every charter covered. We are 100% locally owned and operated and are one of WA’s fastest growing bus companies.

West Coast Bus Charters having a total of 40 vehicles is very busy on Monday to Friday operations looking after all our wonderful schools/mining/cooperate/government contracts and their requirements.

Go Party Bus and Diamond Lounge Limocoach is the biggest party/limo bus company in Perth with over 30 vehicles on the road every weekend, hosting school balls, birthdays, hens and bucks events, weddings and much more. This business operates over the weekend predominantly.

Our operations room is a fast paced environment and we are committed to providing excellent customer service. Every day is different and brings about a new challenge, someone who is quick thinking, can problem solve, work well in a team but also as an individual would be well suited to this position.

Your responsibilities include:

- Frontline management of all drivers between 3 depots; including hiring, disciplinary actions, training, inducting and on-going senior support
- Overseeing driver rostering and vehicle assignments to drivers (many drivers work between both companies)
- Creating and dispersing of weekly job sheets
- Scheduling and efficiency organizing of vehicles across both companies to maximize booking availability
- Working with our contract mechanics to schedule maintenance and repairs also preparing and presenting vehicles for annual inspections.
- Weekend on call duties expected with a flexible working roster offered.
- Communicating effectively across areas of fleet and workshops, suppliers, administration staff, and operations staff
- Ensuring Department of Transport requirements are being maintained at all times; including completing any ‘notifiable occurrence reports’ through their portal
- Some backup driving duties required
- Implementing new processes and procedures to further increase the efficiency of the depots and assist drivers in their day-to-day travels

To be considered for the position we’d like you to have the following skills and experience:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in transport operations, ideally specifically the bus/coach industry
- Proven track record in a management role including inspections and compliance audits.
- A valid and current HR-B minimum license with a clean record.
- A valid PTD authorization
- A valid National Police Clearance (Within 3 months)
- Previous vehicle scheduling experience (Highly desired)
- Well-developed customer service skills with the ability to resolve complaints and take action to avoid recurrence
- Logical and problem-solving attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication techniques
- Work effectively in a team and independently
