Hours: 9:00am-4:00pm

Award and Hourly Rate: Casual SCHADS Level 3.1 - $46.69

1. Summary of the broad purpose of the position

Position Objectives
- Provide a professional service to our clients.
- Responsible for the professional delivery of accredited programs
- Responsible for professional presentation and development

2. Reporting / Working relationships

The position is responsible to the PFCC Board of Management, through the Project Manager
- Delivery of accredited programs
- Keeping the Project Manager and Coordinator informed as necessary of issues that might adversely affect the sector or PFCC

3. Special Requirements

This position is required to:

- Work flexibly as part of a team
- Participate in performance reviews as required

4. Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Delivery of appropriate and approved program
- Preparation of lesson plans
- Preparation of resources (eg: handouts)
- Liaise with PFCC staff
- Distribute and collect participant evaluations
- Ensure participants give due care to the resources and facilities, and participate in maintaining an environment free from danger or abuse
- Comply with the requirements and regulations of appropriate legislation

Policies, Principles, Procedures and Guidelines

The employee will be expected to:

- Model the community development process whilst undertaking all duties and tasks.
- Adhere to the mission, objectives and philosophy of PFCC
- Work in accordance with PFCC policies, procedures and Delegations of Authority.
- Be responsible and accountable for maintaining official records created in this position according to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare and Risk Management requirements

Employees are responsible and accountable for:

- Complying with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control.
- Participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety.
- Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, property damage and mishaps at the workplace.
- Reporting any risks or potential risks identified in the course of their work. If the employee is unsure as to whether the issue/matter observed constitutes a risk to PFCC, they should report the issue/matter immediately to the Co-ordinator.

DCSI Check
- Applicants will be required to undergo a DCSI SA check vulnerable people

Person specification - Essential criteria

1. Minimum Education
- TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or demonstrated equivalence
- Or facilitation experience and willingness to work under the auspice of Project Manager

2. Desirable Experience

Demonstrated experience in:

- Working in an adult community education environment in the community
- Working with entry level programs
- Delivering and documenting programs
- Understanding the specific learning needs of disadvantaged groups and other diverse needs of participants
- Monitoring and recording participant attendance

3. Personal Abilities and Skills
- Working and communicating with the community centre and staff to achieve desired outcomes
- Current knowledge, skills and experience in delivery content
- Using interpersonal skills including consultation, problem solving, coordination, negotiation and conflict resolution
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Organisational skills including planning, evaluation and collection of information
- Flexibility
- Effective self-management under pressure and multi-tasking skills
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent self-management with the ability to work autonomously, with minimum supervision, as well as contribute effectively within a team environment
- Encouraging/developing self-esteem of participants and awareness of their own skills
- Using empathy and sensitivity to people from a wide variety of abilities, experiences and cultures

**Job Types**: Fixed term, Casual
Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: $46.69 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week

Licence/Certification:

- TAE40122 or Working Towards TAE40122 (preferred)
- DCSI Vunerable People (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
