Air and Noise Consultant

Due to the rapid growth of projects in our Air and Noise team, our GHD Perth office has an exciting opportunity for an Air and Noise Consultant to join them on a permanent basis.

We have a strong pipeline of work and a variety of exciting projects. This role is an excellent opportunity to be working with highly regarded technical professionals who enjoy the work they do and collectively deliver as a team. Additionally, this role is an ideal stepping stone to develop team leadership skills, should this be an area you wish to explore in your future career at GHD.

You will work closely with our key clients and you will succeed in an organisation that delivers commitment.

This diverse position will see you involved in:

- Undertaking technical assignments including air dispersion modelling and reporting for Environmental Impact Assessment and License Applications
- Develop air quality emissions inventories quantify what is being discharged to the ambient air environment
- Conduct specific field investigations in the Pilbara
- Develop air quality management Plans for implementation for operation sites to comply with environmental Regulations.
- Work closely in collaboration with our acoustics team, and multi-million dollar Environmental Impact Assessments for our WA Approvals team.
- Independently project manage your projects you work on
- Prepare proposals, including developing scope of works and project costs

What will you bring to the team?
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science, or other suitably appropriate discipline
- Ideally over 5 years’ postgraduate work experience in s similar consulting role
- Competency in AERMOD, CALPUFF, GRALL and WRF is desirable
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft office, including excel. Ability to conduct analysis with R and python is also desirable
- excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work on multi-disciplinary projects
