**Assistant Coordinator/Educational Leader | Outside School Hours Care (OSHC/OOSH) | Harris Park**

This Service is located on the land of the Burramattagal people, a clan of the Darug. Burramattagal is said to come from the Aboriginal word for ‘place where the eels lie’. Aboriginal history is all around us and is crucial to the culture and history of Australia. We encourage all OSHC professionals to spend time reflecting and empowering themselves with knowledge around the Indigenous culture of where they live and work.

We are searching for an enthusiastic and experienced individual who would like to take on the position of Assistant Coordinator at this small sized service.

This role will suit a senior educator who is looking to advance their career, or an Assistant Coordinator or Responsible Person looking for a change of scene. In this position you will work closely with the Service Coordinator to ensure quality education & care is provided.

This role also encompasses the role of Educational Leader for the Service. As the Educational Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of a developmentally appropriate educational program, driven by child interest & play-based learning.

- The team includes a Coordinator and 3 permanent educators. They are looking forward to welcoming a new Assistant Coordinator.
- You will be supported by an experienced Coordinator & Area Manager.

**Who are we looking for?**
- You have a solid understanding of the National Quality Framework and all it encompasses.
- You have experience in Educational Leadership or are willing to undergo Professional Development in Educational Leadership.
- You are a positive and passionate educator.
- You are collaborative and works well in a team environment.
- You can develop & maintain strong relationships with children, families, school executives and the wider community.
- You are confident and feels comfortable liaising with families about their child’s participation in the program.
- You can step into the Responsible Person role when the Coordinator/ Nominated Supervisor is absent.
- You possess a Cert III in Children’s Services / Cert IV in School Aged Care or equivalent or willingness to obtain.
- You possess a valid and current** CHCPRT001 **Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
- You possess a valid and current** HLTAID004 **Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting or willingness to obtain (1 day training).
- **You possess a valid and current NSW Paid Working with Children Check.**:
