Three month contract opportunity for a Survey Assistant working in Brisbane's CBD

**Your new company**
Due to internal movements and promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen in Brisbane for a Survey Assistant to join a busy team on an initial 3 month contract starting early next year. This role works under the direct and indirect supervision of surveyors (cadastral or engineering), providing assistance and support services to ensure the timely and cost effective completion of survey projects.

**Your new role**
In this role you will be accountable to Senior Surveyors and actively contribute to and support the Survey Services Unit and work team. On a day to day basis your duties will include; maintaining equipment (including tripods, pegs, flood gauges, hammers, etc) and supplies for the work team, set out road signage accurately, set up and use survey equipment (including prisms, theodolites, GPS antennas, etc) to ensure survey accuracy.

This role will give you the opportunity to gain further experience across all aspects of cadastral and engineering surveying including the assessment of topography of job locations so that data collected accurately reflects the landscape, and reading and interpreting cadastral, contour and engineering plans.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will have experience onsite setting up and maintaining survey equipment, ability to accurately read and interpret survey data in the field, follow Workplace Health & Safety guidelines, effective communication skills and a current C class driver’s licence.
