An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Aegis team as the Manager Care and Lifestyle.

As the Manager Care and Lifestyle, you will be supporting our Executive Manager of Care and Lifestyle in managing the day-to-day operation of the Care and Lifestyle services to facilities. This role is based at Aegis Central Office. However, you will visit facilities as required, and this will necessitate you to be flexible with working hours as you may be called on outside of business hours.

**Reporting to the Executive Manager Care and Lifestyle, you will be responsible for**:

- Providing Leadership and support to the Care and lifestyle Consultants
- Assisting the Executive Manager Care and Lifestyle with team management and the day to day running of the Care and Lifestyle team.
- Providing consultancy and support for our Facility Managers, Clinical Nurse Managers, and their teams across all aspects of quality systems and clinical care.
- Providing support and after hours ‘ON Call’ for Care and Lifestyle related issues for the Executive Manager Care and Lifestyle during annual leave and on a regular rotating basis.
- Supporting the development and delivery of clinical training programs.
- Contributing to the Clinical Governance activities such as Audits, Coronal enquires, Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission visits and reports, Clinical indicator analysis and NQi data gathering.
- Provide expert clinical advice and support for residents with complex and specialised clinical care needs.
- Supporting, coach, monitor and mentor Clinical Nurse Managers and as required Registered Nurses within each facility to ensure high quality, safe and effective care and services are delivered in accordance with resident choice and goals.
- Supporting and monitoring Aegis Dietitians with their roles and in the coordination of their duties.
- Contributing to the development and review of policies and procedures.

**Requirements of the role**
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Evidence of CPD Maintained as per registration.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the required relationships outcomes.
- Strong organisational and time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and Oral.
- Mentoring/ consultative approach
- Strong Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation & Accreditation Standards
- Current Driver’s License.
